5 days long hands-on course for medical physicists (in training), medical engineers and radiation therapy technologists (RTTs), working in RT departments at the INHolland University of Applied Sciences in April 2009.

INHolland University of Applied Sciences offers hands-on course Quality Assurance in Advanced Radiation Therapy (QAART).

The course is a part of the module QAART which will start In March 2009. The module will be given in Dutch while the course will be given in English. It will take 5 days in April 2009.
Both the module and the course are suited for medical physicists (in training), medical engineers and radiation therapy technologists (RTTs), working in RT departments. Physicists, engineers or RTTs working for companies that develop RT products will also benefit from the module and course.

The module QAART (in Dutch) is in particular suited for RTTs, because the participation in the hands-on course is prepared well. The required prior knowledge in physical-technical aspects is offered in the preceding afternoon sessions. The module also covers the subject of quality assurance in RT in a broader sense and various items are set more in a clinical framework. Participants from the Netherlands and Belgium are expected. The hands-on course QAART (in English) is directed primarily to employees with a physical-technical training and also assumes some prior theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of quality assurance. The most important parts of this course are the practical exercises in using various equipment and these sessions will also be supported by a number of companies.
